Health@Hand is a successful recipient of an AusIndustry COMET grant. The grant will assist the commercialisation of an innovative mobile eHealth application for the weight loss industry. The mobile application is associated to earlier research and development work in collaboration with the CSIRO’s Tasmanian ICT Centre. The application is designed to run on the Apple iPhone and iPad.
In December 2009 a new company Health at Hand Pty Ltd was established. Health@Hand is a company that aims to develop innovative mobile applications for the health sector. Verdant has been developing mobile health applications since 2005. The directors of Verdant have decided to establish Health@Hand to specifically develop commercial technologies for the emergent smartphone and tablet based technologies.
Verdant Health is pleased to officially launch the Mobile Weight Management Mentor. The Mobile Weight Management Mentor is a collaborative commercial research partnership with CSIRO’s Tasmanian ICT Centre. This innovative telehealth system will assist individuals in the management of their weight with health professionals such as community pharmacy. The system is based upon the use of mobile phone technologies and sophisticated data management systems.
Verdant Health has been invited to join CSIRO at their CeBIT stand in Sydney. Verdant Health has developed an innovative weight management technology in collaboration with researchers from the Tasmanian CSIRO ICT Centre. Verdant Health will demonstrate the mobile phone technology alongside CSIRO researchers at CeBIT 2009.
Verdant Health has begun rolling out the ShareMED electronic health messaging system to community pharmacies, GP and aged care facilities in Southern Tasmania. ShareMED is an innovative health messaging system that has been developed for the Pharmacy Guild of Australia. The ShareMED project is focused on the timely delivery of medication review information between primary health care providers. The ShareMED project has been support by the Tasmanian HealthConnect program.
